What we collect

To set up and deliver your personalised newsletter, we collect:

• Your account email address (used to log in to Briefd).
• The Gmail address and Gmail App Password you provide, used solely to send your newsletter on your behalf.
• The recipient email address where your newsletter is delivered.
• Your Anthropic API key, used to generate your newsletter content.
• Your newsletter preferences (topics, watchlist, tone, length, and sections).

How it's stored

Your Gmail App Password and Anthropic API key are stored using encrypted fields and are never displayed in plain text after you save them. Access to this data is restricted to the systems required to generate and send your daily newsletter.

How it's used

Your credentials and preferences are used only to generate and deliver your daily newsletter — for example, your Anthropic API key is used to research and write your content, and your Gmail credentials are used to send the resulting email.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your email addresses, Gmail App Password, or API key with any third party. Your data is used exclusively to operate your Briefd newsletter.

Your control

You can update or remove your credentials, pause your newsletter, or stop using Briefd at any time from your dashboard.
